2022 CAST Cover Art Selection

CSA is calling for artwork to consider for the 2022 CAST cover art. The CAST “branding image” is an important part of our media plan. We need an eye-catching image that will be used on post cards, catalogs and other printed material. Instructions to submit artwork are provided here and on the website home page. Submissions are due by March 31.

Artwork selected as the cover art is the branding image that will represent the high quality and diversity of CAST artists. For an artist to have their artwork selected as cover art for CAST is highly prestigious. It will provide exceptional exposure for the artist.

For artwork to be eligible for consideration, it must:
· Not have been previously used for cover art.
· Be part of the artist’s inventory at the time of submission.
· Be from an artist who has not previously had artwork selected as cover art within the previous three years.

The cover art selection committee will review all artwork submitted for consideration and select the piece that best serves the purpose of the cover art. The following criteria will guide selection. The committee will also use artistic judgement and marketing principles in the selection process. The image must be:

· Visually impactful.
· Easily and quickly recognizable.
· Simple.
· Exemplify fine art.
· Capable of being cropped and displayed in a landscape or portrait orientation.

The selection committee includes:
· CAST Manager
· Advertising Lead
· Catalog/Media Designer
· Print Material Managers

How to Submit Artwork

Artists should select a high-resolution jpeg image (300 dpi and a minimum size of 1500 pixels x 2100 pixels) of the selected artwork. The file name should be LastNameFirstName.jpg. Email your image to kenduckert91@gmail.com.

The deadline to submit artwork for Cover Art consideration is March 31.
