It’s a new year! A group of Corrales Road gallery owners met to take advantage of the fresh start to rebrand and restart an older village community initiative called “1st Sundays in the Village” -focusing on arts businesses. Following Albuquerque’s “First Fridays” arts stroll which is gaining in popularity, Corrales’s “1st Sunday’s in the Village” will promote local galleries and establishments that show and sell art. With over a dozen art venues on board open for business, 1st Sundays of every month offering beautiful artwork and handmade items. A Sunday stroll in the village will delight and surprise locals and visitors as to the variety and artistry of offerings. You might see a painting demo, a workshop in progress or find a post holiday sale! Let’s get the New Year off to a great start–community, art, stroll.
