After working as a designer and custom homebuilder for 30 years, I picked up a watercolor brush that i used in college and remmbered my love for watercolor. i always knew i would start painting one day. As a avid hiker, i could take my watercolors everywhere and started to prefer painting to hiking. I love painting water, mountains, trees and especially flowers with an accasional building popping up in my paintings. I love the wet into wet style and work everyday to stay loose.
I have had a yearning to paint large, really large and have dabbled in oils for the past year. Large oil paintings are definitely more studio work and i am working to find a way to paint in oil with a loose technique .My oils paintings are all flowals in a more contemporary style.
i am fortunate to have the choice to paint water color Plein Aire or oil in studio and love every minute of it!
