I am an American painter who specializes in realism. Sketching since I was a child and all my life. I am self taught in all aspects of my art.
Native American culture, beauty, rhythm, nature, and daily living all have an impact on me. My paintings feature people as well as landscapes, creatures, insects, and nature in all its splendor and majesty.
My paintings communicate to myself and others about the beauty we live in and around, and are developed and given life by me. Utilizing charcoal, graphite, pastels, and acrylics, I draw and paint what I like and what I see.
I want my artwork – pastels, charcoals & sketches – to speak to the common longing for the pleasure of nature and beauty in a world where more and more of the natural environment and life is being destroyed through the onslaught of technology.
I hope to inspire others. Also, for them to enjoy the beauty I have seen and hopefully incorporated in my work.
My leather is cut from a variety of leather types, mainly elk and deer hide. I look at the hide and see the pouch design. I cut the leather and hand stitch the pouch and or small bag with sinew for any item the person wishes to be contained within it.
