>Amy has practiced photography for the past 20 years. She loves hiking and exploring natural settings. She has a keen eye for artistically capturing segments of large and often complex scenes and subjects. Amy enjoys using the camera as a way of seeing the world from different perspectives, resulting in simple and compelling imagery.
Professionally, Amy is founder and head of Groundwork Studio, an Albuquerque based landscape architectural firm. Her work focuses on educational, therapeutic and play environments. With a background in environmental education, she is particularly sensitive to what and how we learn from the shape of our surroundings. Her design approach prioritizes collaboration with the client and design team to develop creative yet practical site solutions that address the whole environment.
Amy’s twin toddlers are constantly opening her eyes to new perspectives and the relationships between order and chaos. When she’s not at work, she is busy tending bees, picking raspberries and chasing coyotes out of the henhouse
