My creations have a variety of eclectic and electric subjects, often obviously and sometimes subconsciously inspired by my five years as an expat, and a view into the world of spirits and magical entities beyond and yet within our own—Jungian symbolism, shamanic concepts, and ancient symbolism are woven into this. As a former ice hockey player and martial artist, my work is inspired by movement and the subtleties of stillness in a moment. Beneath every movement or restraint of movement lies a spirit that I try to capture.

My work is influenced by my years as a naturalist and I can often be found in bogs, mountains, and forests extensively studying a specimen to paint.

Last but not least, music influences my work—especially Indian Classical ragas and Turkish Psychedelic music from the 1960’s.
