Bronze Sculpture

To work in bronze is to engage in the language of permanence — to cast form into
eternity. My sculptures begin with the human figure, but the result is never literal. I
distill the form into planes, contours, and angular geometries — formal elements that
function as visual poetry. The sculpting process becomes meditative, an act of
distillation where each edge is honed until it reverberates with intention.
I am drawn to what lies beneath the surface: the ineffable, the archetypal, the
presence that eludes definition. Some works echo ancient deities or mythic spirits;
others feel suspended between eras — simultaneously primordial and futuristic.
These forms do not assert singular meanings; they invite interpretation, allowing each
viewer to bring their own mythology to the encounter.
The landscape and spirit of New Mexico — its cathedral skies, ancient stone, wild
energy, and untamed weather — have profoundly influenced my recent work. It is a
place where silence and power meet, infusing form with endurance, mystery, and
transformation.
In a cultural moment dominated by immediacy and spectacle, my sculptures ask for
something different: stillness. They are not explanatory objects — they are devotional.
Quiet monuments to presence.
This is not simply a practice. It is an extension of who I am.
