I have been an admirer of the elegant variety and harmony of nature throughout all my life. However, with a background in Physics, I did not consider my artistic talent seriously. It was only in New Mexico, with its breathtaking landscapes, magical Southwestern light, and calming and peaceful sunlight, that I was compelled to begin creating my own art after participation in a master class led by prominent artist Elena Goubar.
I am an oil painter who uses vibrant abilities of the palette knife to create art on canvas. I approach painting as a reflection of my soul, wonders of nature, dignity of life. I want the viewer to feel the moment, place, and environment. My art process is inspired by Rerikh (Roerich), Sisley and Georgia O’Keefe. I am relating my view and impression of colors and objects, finding myself in the diversity of the world, experience of traveling, magic of water, vivid New Mexico colors through my art.
My works have been featured in a number of juried New Mexico exhibitions, including at Los Alamos Art Center, at New Mexico Art League, at MasterWorks and Encantada Fine Art Shows in Albuquerque, at Art Mosaik Gallery on Canyon Road in Santa Fe. In March 2022, at Art Mozaik Gallery , I held a personal exhibition, “Glimpses of the Sun”. A lot of of my works, including “Sandia Palette” from the MasterWorks Show, are hanging in private collections.
