For centuries, Pueblos fought to assert and maintain their rights to land, water and self-determination. The history of sovereignty on Indian lands describes how they fought to sustain their threatened populations and maintain their agricultural base through legal means and land acquisition.

Isleta historian and public educator Rosalee Lucero, explores the dynamics of sovereignty in Pueblo life.
